Maggie Menane celebrated her 50th birthday at a traveling Poetry Brothel, where a palm reader foretold that her future joy was tethered to her writing. Feeling seen, she hopes to pay that forward and now writes coming of middle-age stories about women with realistic bodies, relatable problems, and ordinary, yet extraordinary lives.
Known for hosting elaborate board game nights, she has also fostered kittens, dressed in cosplay, and been a social worker in a trauma ER. Maggie resides in the Pacific Northwest, where she has raised three rainbow unicorns, two needy cats, and continues to arbitrate her relationship with food.
Her favorite mantras are, “What would Jane and Eleanor do?” and “Be a Hermione in a Voldemort world.”
